🏀 is a a very skillful sport, but at the end of the day it’s also a GAME. Which means it involves skill 🎒 AND strategy 🧠. Knowing how to play with anyone on the court is huge for Hoopers, and it gives a way better chance to always get minutes on a team. ⠀

Here are some tips we covered: ⠀
⠀
Spacing: ⠀
⠀
1. Off Ball player can be the most dangerous person on offense. ⠀
⠀
2. Proper spacing on the court can put the Defense in very tough situations to guard penetration and screen actions (on and off ball)⠀
⠀
3. As an off ball player, read your defenders body and eyes. Will give opportunities for cuts (back door, fade to corner, lift to wing) which will result in EASY buckets. 💰⠀

Personnel: ⛹🏽‍♂️⛹🏼‍♂️⛹🏻‍♂️⛹🏾‍♂️⛹🏽‍♀️⛹🏻‍♀️⠀

1. Know your teammates and opponents strengths and weaknesses ⠀
⠀
2. Utilize that information and communicate with your teammates (Shooters? Tough Defender? Big? Small?) Know the mismatches on the court ⠀

3. See what works and what does not work throughout the game and adjust. There is ALWAYS a counter 🥊 in basketball. ⠀
⠀
You don’t need to be the most athletic person on the court or have the best handles 🎒. Having a high IQ 🧠 will get you far in hoops. Coaches will love you.
