The Olympic Virtual Series baseball event is advancing into the finals in Japan, following the conclusion of the online preliminary round.

A total of 19 competitors are set to compete in the finals in Japan on 23 June. Eleven of the finalists will compete in the Playstation 4 Division and 8 in the Nintendo Switch Division.

The Olympic Virtual Series baseball event is being played via a specially designed environment of Konami’s eBaseball Powerful Pro Baseball 2020 on both the Playstation 4 and the Nintendo Switch.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) is amongst five sports/international federations to have been appointed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to be part of the inaugural Olympic Virtual Series, which also features cycling, rowing, sailing and motorsport.
