Every ecosystem has unique needs and characteristics, and it's critically important to engage with the community before introducing new technologies.

Today, we're excited to see the launch of the first #seaglider specific initiative in Hawai'i.

The Hawai'i Seaglider Initiative will engage with the local community to bring seagliders to market. 

Among other things, the initiative will focus on effectively preparing Hawaiʻi’s harbor infrastructure; address climate and environmental concerns, train the next generation of highly paid skilled workers to support the local economy, and ensure that local communities receive equitable access to and benefits from a seaglider network.

REGENT is proud to be one of the founding members of this initiative, joining over a dozen corporate and community members. We're especially looking forward to working with local community leaders to explore how seaglider technology can help address the unique needs of Hawai'i residents and businesses.

Special thanks to the State of Hawa'ii, the Hawai'i Department of Transportation, Governor Josh Green and all of the community leaders who continue to provide their support and vision for an efficient, affordable, and sustainable form of interisland transportation.
