We asked more than 500 newlyweds (ages 23-43) their thoughts on wedding expenses and major life purchases. Here's how they responded: 

• 40% of those surveyed spent more money on their wedding than they originally anticipated. 

• 68% are focused on a larger life purchase, like a new house, new car or dream vacation. 

• 75% are likely to combine their savings account with their partner. 

• 41% of those who had not combined insurance plans don't feel knowledgeable about the process.

• 81% of those who combined insurance said the process was easy.
