October is Crime Prevention Month. Follow these tips to help deter thieves from targeting your vehicle. #GoodNeighbor

• Secure your WiFi. If your car has a hotspot, hackers may be able to use it to access your car’s electronic controls.

• Track your car. Vehicle tracking systems are widely available and many allow users to track their vehicle's location with mobile apps.

• Invest in an anti-theft device. Car alarms, steering wheel locks and kill switches may be enough to persuade thieves to reconsider.

• These simple reminders help add a layer of protection to your vehicle. Never leave your car running unattended, always lock your doors and roll up your windows and park in heavily populated, well-lit areas (or in a garage when you can). #crimepreventionmonth  #safety
