Episode 8 - Paniolo (pah-nee-oh-loh)
Translation: Hawaiian Cowgirl
⁣
In Hawaiʻi, cowboys and ranching are ever-present. In fact, the Islands had paniolo (cowboys) before the Mainland. In 1833, Mexican vaqueros taught Hawaiians how to manage cattle, and the culture is still alive and thriving. "Some of the best cowboys are cowgirls" - Kumu Kamuela Yim.

Our Paniolo sandal taps into that aesthetic and sense of adventure with its hand-sewn, saddle-inspired stitching and deeply oiled leather.
