TOP 20 COMMANDERS PLAYERS FROM 2021:
Coming in at #5: Daron Payne, DT!

Last year’s ranking: #5

Our individual rankings for number 5:
Justin: Kamren Curl
Jess: Charles Leno Jr.
@commandersnations: Charles Leno Jr.
@commanders365: Cole Holcomb

2021 Stats:
17 Games
61 Tackles
6 TFLs
4.5 Sacks
27 QB Pressures
1 FR
9 Missed Tackles

Daron Payne continued to show why he is one of the leagues best defensive tackles. He is one of the best in the NFL in run defense, and is a very underrated passer. He might not rack up as many sacks, but he consistently puts pressure on the quarterback. He finished last season with the second most pressures on the team. Payne becomes a free agent after this season, so Washington will have to decide how they want to spend their money across the defensive line…especially if they plan on acquiring a top veteran quarterback.

Where would you have ranked Payne? Who do you think will be revealed at #4?
