Los Angeles is famous on its own and you won't need us to tell you the most touristy things to do. ✨BUT SAVE THIS FOR NON-TOURISTY RECOMMENDATIONS ✨ in the City of Angeles. 

Our first picture is by late Los Angeles photographer cole_younger_ who's beautiful shots of Los Angeles and its culture transcends his untimely passing. 

Non-Touristy: 
📍An hour and a half up the beautiful California coast, past Malibu, is the beach community of Ventura.  Ventura still has a small beach town feel with very much a California vibe. It has tons of bars and less crowded beaches.
📍Stay at the Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza bwsunsetplaza where you'll be near everything but feel like you're staying in a secluded hotel. 

📍Rent a swan boat and peddle away in Echo Park lake with the beautiful downtown skyline behind you. 

📍Check out The Row Downtown in Downtown LA for local bar and restaurant hangouts. 

📍Highland Park, once a working class community, is now hipster haven. It has the coolest and most unique bars in the entire city

📍Hike up Topanga Canyon and watch  Flight of Voices sing on top of the mountains meeting the sea. If you miss them, the Santa Monica Mountains are filled with hikes that will leave you speech-less. Make sure to check out local known spot "Stunt Road". 

📍Take a tour of the historical art deco Bradbury Building. Also super instagramable.
