Rising junior Shannon Sklow, an animal science major, is continuing her pursuit of veterinary medicine this summer: “This summer, I was able to have the amazing opportunity to work at the Point Vicente Animal Hospital. Even while following strict health guidelines (social distancing from co-workers and wearing a mask at all times), I am incredibly grateful to be learning so much about veterinarian medicine! It’s always a unique day at the hospital. From being able to assist in x-raying a hawk’s broken wing to just a routine ear cleaning on a dog, going to work is genuinely so much fun:) We even see wild animals like the hawk and this squirrel that had a broken foot!” -Shannon #BeyondGymnastics #FutureVet #GoAgs
