-Arts & pottery classes at one of the two City-run arts centres (book in advance as classes fill out quickly) 
*Partially tax supported

-City pools & gyms: There are over 40,000 registered and drop-in opportunities offered at 11 pools, 12 athetic parks and the Calgary Soccer Centre
*Partially tax supported

-Bike paths & parks, our fave way to get around in the warmer months. Also check out Pearce Estate Park, Stanley Park and Edworthy Park for a great day on the river

-Tennis courts are available with easy access to all residents, you can book in advance or just walk in at your leisure

-City transit, free fare zone downtown for easy access + discounted rates for seniors and low-income individuals

-Animal services, The City works closely with the Calgary Humane Society and AARCS to make sure that displaced animals find loving homes. They also give them a veterinary card to ensure they are happy and healthy."
