Last year, we accomplished a lot here at The City. But we don’t expect you to just take our word for it.

We’ve got proof.

The Delivering Results for Calgarians: 2022 Performance Report is out now. In a time of inflationary pressure and financial challenges for both residents and businesses, our performance in 2022 was responsive, nimble, and financially prudent, achieving significant results for Calgarians within our approved budget.

Some key highlights from last year:

🌳 We sustainably planted 7,525 trees in parks and streetscapes, plus 100,000 seedlings.

🦽 We completed the last of 10 new inclusive play spaces, which include features enabling Calgarians of all abilities to play together.

❄️ We reduced our snow response time to clear over 4,000 kilometres of Calgary’s busiest routes from 24 hours to 18 hours after a snowfall ends, accounting for a 25 per cent improvement.

☀️ We partnered with ENMAX to deliver $5 million of solar systems on 25 community association buildings through the ENMAX Community Solar Fund.

🎞️ We supported the film industry with permitting, road closures and detour management, including the record-breaking series HBO’s The Last of Us.

🚒 Our fire department responded to over 80,000 emergencies. We also implemented new processes that allowed us to step up and fill gaps in medical response for Calgarians.
