Today, we’re turning a #SpotlightOn the USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies! ⁣🌏

The mission of the institute is to inspire global environmental solutions through frontier research and education. Affiliated faculty study all aspects of the environment including coastal sciences, climate change, interactions among humans and natural systems, and also connect science to policy. The institute, which manages the USC Wrigley Marine Science Center on Catalina Island, offers one-of-a-kind educational programming for USCedu students, and works with the public to enhance environmental awareness⁣.

Conducting research during the pandemic has been a challenge, but the program paired undergrads with faculty and graduate student mentors for independent and small group remote research. ⁣
