You’ve probably noticed your feed filled with hot air balloon photos.  Some of you may be wondering why & would love to learn more about the cherished spiritofboiseballoonclassic .

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙤𝙞𝙨𝙚?

The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic was first hosted in 1991 as a way to provide an exciting, family oriented production for the community at no charge. 

Hosted annually at Ann Morrison Park, the event brings together locals and tourists alike who enjoy being surrounded by endless colorful balloons, inspiring music, and their favorite local radio stations.

Some of the themed days include:

💫Media Day 
💫Night Glow Spectacular 

𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙤𝙞𝙨𝙚?

Founded by Scott and Laura Spencer as part of the then-Boise River Festival, the Spirit of Boise has brought over 30 years of entertainment here within the Treasure Valley.

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙙?

It usually is the last week of August and  into Labor Day weekend. This year, it’s been cancelled due to the pandemic. 

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙄 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚?

Sadly, Scott Spencer passed away in January of this year from cancer.  His memory and legacy will live on through the Spirit of Boise 🌟
