Love was felt throughout. 
Thank you to the candlelight vigil organizers and supporters: Jessie, Whitney, Tai, Nisha, as well as all the volunteers.  Spoken word was from the book “The Hate U Give” by Angie Thomas.  Thank you to the City, Treasure Valley, and all near & far who supported.  Thank you @boisepolicedepartment , @city_of_boise & our fellow community members who ensured the vigil was peaceful. 
I, like many of you, needed a space to cloak ourselves in love and healing. 
For those who have been followers for some time, I limit insight into my personal space, including beliefs, values & moments of vulnerability. Why? Because  this page is about highlighting the enjoyment of life in Boise.  From local business owners to community events, this online community I’ve built is a space  exactly for that. 
While some may not agree with the underlying principle of #BLM or #BlackoutTuesday and prefer not to see said posts, I am incredibly thankful for yesterday’s candlelight vigil.  Being away from majority of my family & not having a true space to feel my pain  led to loneliness.  That said, to know I am not truly alone and this community is a space for me to lean into — beyond just adventure and activities — is  quite moving. 
Thank you all for sharing the list of local business owners who are black.  This resource was started by @nishajaenewton , and I will continually add and share for you to use as a resource.
