🌟 WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO IDAHO? 🌟

Happy Monday! Since it’s graduation season AND yesterday was #NationalIdahoDay, I figured I’d share a little bit about me. 
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙄𝙙𝙖𝙝𝙤?

That’s a commonly asked question, and rightfully so.  I’m originally from south Florida — sunshine, beach & lots of flavorful people.  In August 2010, after earning my MPA, I headed to New England to attend law school.  The decision to move & live outside my comfort zone was truly a rewarding and transformative time in my life.  That moment is when I decided to seek joy & adventure in everything that i did. Living in Maine & being introduced to new experiences is where that inner #bucketlist spirit awakened.  I was highly involved in law school, and I graduated in May 2013. 
Fast forward to 2016, I saw higher education job opportunities in Idaho after my brother suggested I look into Boise. I wanted to live in a city similar to Portland, ME (heavily focused on supporting local, great downtown scene, all-four seasons, mid-size city). Thankfully,  I was hired as the associate director of admissions at the UI College of Law to help with their Boise location expansion. As the first person to hold this position, I’ve been responsible to not only recruit incoming law students, but also help build community and comfort for them. 
𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙖, 𝙞𝙨 @𝙗𝙤𝙞𝙨𝙚_𝙗𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡-𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙟𝙤𝙗?” No, it’s not. It’s a passion that evolved over time, with creativity & skill. I didn’t seek out any “influencer” status.  My job is proudly helping potential law students with their journey to law school.  Especially those who felt college wasn’t even in their future.  That’s my job & I’m proud of it.
