This morning, I had a great opportunity to participate in a focus group with the idahostatesman. We [a good cross section of local professionals with diverse backgrounds] discussed how we stay up-to-date with the news. I personally shared how I get my news through social media, where I make sure to click on the idahostatesman story when it's in my Facebook newsfeed. I also use IG and follow influencers who share what's going on locally , like #HelloMeridian. I don't have cable (I stream everything), so I don't watch local newscasts. During this meeting, it was enlightening to hear how peers obtain their news. I had no clue idahostatesman had an app, or went Live on Facebook a few weeks back. When I first move to a new location like Boise, I have a habit of finding the community events section in the local paper. It's a standard "life checklist" whenever I'm in a new city. Michael Deeds from the idahostatesman has given me so many ideas 💡 of places to try and explore. All that said, how do YOU get your news? Do you read the idahostatesman (digitally or hard copy)? If not, what can they do to reach you? idahostatesman didn't ask for me to post this; I'm genuinely curious. As a transplant, I believe it's my duty to read up on local events as much as possible. It's indeed on my boise_bucketlist. Feel free to share your thoughts below! Thank you to Boise Young Professionals for this opportunity, and fahlgrenmortine Boise for hosting us. #boisebucketlist #idahostatesman
