“Rider has always held a special place in my heart. I returned home to give this university and the program everything they afforded me at 18 years old & more. I find pure joy in watching young women grow on & off the court” This is the answer of Coach Nesh, Rider alumni ‘14 and three-time All-MAAC selection during her time competing for the Rider Broncs, about why our Zoo is so special to her.

MyNeshia McKenzie returned to Rider as an assistant coach in 2021 and has since been an invaluable asset to the program. After spending time overseas and gaining experience as a professional basketball player, she started her coaching career in 2017.
With a mindset of growing personal skills and continuing to face new challenges, she is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Athletic Leadership here at Rider.

The desire to grow personal skills doesn’t stop there, the passion for player development and the pride she has in being a Lady Bronc is what sets Coach Nesh apart. “My mission every day is to make sure our players are 1% better than they were the day before.” She cherishes the connections she can make with each player and goes above and beyond to help those around her grow and reach their full potential. 

We're so lucky to have Coach Nesh as a part of our wbb family and in the Rider community as a coach, mentor, friend, student, and role model!
