Months ago, the batteries in my scale died. It was a blessing that I didn’t know I needed.

I think back to the times that I weighed myself EVERY day (sometimes more than once) and I placed value in myself based on that number. Crazy to think about. Even after that, I was weighing myself periodically to make sure I wasn’t “going overboard” - now, thanks to my batteries dying, I’ve realized that I can maintain and be happy and healthy without that number “weighing” me down 😌
