On the last day of #BlackHistoryMonth, we’re celebrating #BlackExcellence in the field of #PublicRelations.

The world of #PR was transformed by the “Father of Public Relations,” Joseph Varney Baker. Baker emerged at a time when there were very few Black #PRProfessionals, but that didn’t stop him from having a groundbreaking #career as the founder of the first Black #PRFirm. 

His legacy and innovative thinking paved the way for many professionals in the industry, including latoyasevans, Chief Communications Officer of thelepragency, to pursue successful careers in #StrategicCommunications. 

Evans boasts an impressive resume having worked in #MediaRelations and communications for #brands like IBM, Walmart, Cisco, Compass Group, and more. Her 15+ years in the field demonstrate her dedication to creating and maintaining positive relationships between her clients and the public.
