Have you ever realized that patterns in nature seem to mimic patterns in our everyday life?  When we talk about daylight savings time, we often
use the phrase "Fall back, and spring forward" to remember to change the time on our clocks. But daylight savings isn't the only context those phrases prove useful.  Perhaps the most simplistic understanding we can take from those words is to stand back and observe. When you take a moment to fall back, you do one of the most useful things you can do in the decision-making process: Stop time and evaluate. It's always important to slow down and step outside of yourself and your immediate situation
to take note of the important things.

Be focused on your ambitions, but not so locked in that you lose sight of your reason for pursuing them. Be passionate about your path, but do not let the drive that you have cause you to neglect your mental health, physical health, and overall well-being. Be determined to reach success, but do not become so enamored with the end goal that you lose sight of the valuable lessons that you learn from failures and rocky roads. Be prideful, but not so prideful that you begin to look down on others and forget what it is to be human. 

Life is a balancing act, and sometimes the easiest way to achieve that balance is to take a moment to “fall” back so that we can gain the clarity to “spring” forward.
