Building athleticism to improve sports performance is great and lots of fun. BUT the long-term impact of youth and high school sports should look beyond this more immediate goal. We should focus on teaching our athletes about leadership, nutrition, sleep, screen time usage, social media, etc. The value of those lessons transcends the sporting experience!
