There is no immediate reward. No fancy jersey and socks. No stats to boost of on social media following a weekend of hockey games (none of which are really played at full speed because everyone still is sane enough to realize it is spring). The beauty of training in the gym is not only that it is far more productive than games in the off-season, it is also that the lessons learned are those of delayed gratification, hard work, and when you walk inside the Fortis gym, humility!
