April has worked in the financial services industry and is passionate about financial literacy for all women. In 2015, she founded a non-profit organization, The Economic Empowerment Center, Inc., dedicated to providing financial education programs for High School and College students. Her signature workshop, The Five Biggest Mistakes Women Make With Their Money, outlines the many financial struggles she's had to manage her finances to help eliminate the stigma and shame many women feel about their financial situation in hopes of getting them to act.
