## Caption

Marc Brown was a 2nd generation Jersey Shore Basketball League player following in the footsteps of his father Charlie. Like his father before him, Marc played the majority of his years with Larson Ford.

Marc's message was for the younger guys to enjoy their time playing in the league and all the friendships and camaraderie that comes along with it. Marc was a natural leader during his time as a point guard in the JSBL. Perhaps his most impressive leadership at the JSBL came in 2009, his final year in the league, at age 40 when he was not only the point guard, but also the coach and GM for Larson Ford. Well past his prime, Marc used his basketball IQ and personality to lead the team to a championship.

As he looked around the room, there were players he saw his father play with and against, players he played with and against, and players he coached or coached against. A championship coach at NJCU, those who were lucky enough to watch Marc Brown lead his teams at the JSBL knew he was the ideal man for the job long before he stepped into the role at the college level.

Thank you for coming to the ceremony Coach Brown. Your leadership and integrity as an individual will not be forgotten by those of us at down at the Jersey Shore!

Transcript (In the gym)
"By now you are getting the idea that we are in the midst of a slew of all-state players who garnered Hall of Fame honors for their storied careers. Our next player is a perfect example. He is a Siena College Hall of Famer, four-time all-conference performer, 1991 MAAC Player of the Year, and 2000-point career scorer. He would play 15 total seasons professionally overseas and in the Continental Basketball Association. A three-time JSBL Champion with Larson Ford and Majesco Sales and six-time All-JSBL Selection, Marc Brown."
