"Wisdom can be a daunting kind of challenge, [i.e.,] how to act on wisdom in one's life. And the answer that the bible gives us is to go through and study and meditate upon these [verses] day and night. That we would engage in the constant reading and meditation on the bible in order to know and see when to do one thing or another, so that we can always act with wisdom.

A second point about this kind of practical wisdom is that it is founded on observing the world. The bible actually directs us to look at what is called 'the book of nature.' We can study the 'book of nature' and learn something about the God who created it, and we can also learn something about how we are to act." —Fr. Jordan Schmidt, O.P.
