“Opendoor Youth Camp is the reason why I have the relationship with Jesus that I have today. Before I started going to camp, I just went to Jesus for help. Other than that, I didn’t invest much time into Him. It wasn’t until after camp that I truly understood who Jesus is and the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s where I learned not to just invest some time into Him when I could, but to invest my life and fully dig into what He has for me. I was water baptized at camp in 2015. At camp in 2017, I found out that the calling God had on my life was to be a missionary and spread God’s Word overseas. If there’s one place I hear the Lord speak to me the most, it’s at camp." - Chandler Poythress
