✨Rest day!✨
Can’t think of a more magical place to spend a planned rest day! I haven’t taken a day off since the build up from my last injury, so yesterday I came up to Vail to get a PRP injection in my hip and take a rest day to let my body really recover.
I’ve been able to put in some really solid work this fall/winter, so now seems like a perfect time to take a beat and let that work sink in before hitting workouts hard again next week when I’m more adjusted to the high altitude. 🏔
PRP is a really amazing procedure that uses platelet-rich plasma from your own blood to drive healing in a specific spot (for me, my labrum). At least that’s how I understand it...
So I’m taking a rest day today to let the injection do it’s work then I’ll be back at normal training by the end of the week! 💪🏼
For now, I’m taking a short walk to get coffee, then spending the day working on my laptop doing non-running related passion projects that make me 😊.
