The last week has been a total 💩 sandwich. Got DQd in the prelim and had to watch on the sidelines as US steeple women made history in the final, then on top of that I got food poisoning, and we lost our camera on the tube...
However, after all the frustrations this week, I think about the suffering in Charlottesville and Sierra Leone happening at the same time and I can't help but be grateful. Grateful that my problems are so trivial in the grand scheme of things. Grateful that I have a healthy body and strong mind, a wonderful supportive family, and an amazing team of people by my side as I strive towards my athletic goals. For that I am a very lucky gal. I hope that anyone else feeling like the world is out to get them can also change their focus and find some gratitudes. 🙏🏼
