Sometimes it’s nice to just practice photography for the sake of photography, no recipe just some simple kiwis. Plus, they make me think of spring! 

For those of you who don’t know, I started this account last fall as a new creative outlet for me. I’ve always been a creative person- I went to college for design and have worked full time as a product designer for the past 5 years. 

Last fall, I found myself feeling creatively burnt out from my day job and turned to learning food photography as a way to creatively stimulate and challenge myself. I knew it would be fun, but I never imagined that I would enjoy learning food photography and styling as much as I do. It’s my favorite part in the process of running my vegan food blog (which is why I currently have like 7 recipes developed, photographed, and edited. They just need to be written up!). 

Over the next few months, I've decided to challenge myself to practice photography just for the sake of photography without the pressure of developing a whole new recipe and writing up a blog post (although, I'll still be creating at least 2 new recipes a week, of course!). 
Just some of my thoughts for the day 😊

Also at my day job, I design small kitchen appliances, so I’m basically surrounded by food or the appliances that make food all day every day, which is weird but fun at the same time.
