That four #Billiken have played in five different World Cups?
▫️
First Billiken to ever play in a #WorldCup was Mike Sorber. During the 1994 World Cup, Mike played for the usmnt . U.S. national team head coach Bora Milutinović stated "When you analyze the World Cup, Sorber was probably our #MVP.” 🔹
The second Billiken to represent the USMNT at a World Cup was no other than Billiken Legend and current general manager of USMNT, Brian McBride. McBride played in three consecutive World Cups from 1998 to 2006, and scored at the 1998 and 2002 tournaments and in doing so, became the first American player to score at two World Cups. He has a total of three World Cup goals. ▫️ During the 2014 World Cup, two Billikens we’re representing their countries on the world’s biggest soccer stage: Vedad Ibisevic for Bosnia-Herzegovina and Brad Davis for the U.S.

Ibisevic scored first ever Bosnian goal at the World Cup finals in a 1–2 loss against Argentina! ▫️
Davis was able to help the U.S. with an assist in their 2-0 win over Azerbaijan. 🔹
