In May, for the first time since 2016, the "ultra-rare" metallic blue bee was spotted! Experts found the blue calamintha bee back at its old watering hole, the Ashe's calamint flower.  This threatened flowering plant is a favorite of the rare bee and found primarily in central Florida. .
