## Caption

Largely due to Chinese conservation efforts, the giant panda was taken off the Endangered Species list in 2016! While the Giant Panda was on the Endangered Species list in the '90s, the Chinese recreated and repopulated bamboo forests, their main food supply. A panda can eat 26 to 80 lbs of bamboo in a day to maintain its energy.
