## Caption

The Lemur can only be found on Madagascar and a few small surrounding islands. They live in groups of up to 30 and a dominant female presides over all others! Their powerful scent glands create a unique odor that is used for both communication and for warding off prey. These little primates are decreasing in population, but there are efforts to breed them in captivity with reintroduction to the wild as the goal. .
