#ad Get ready for a California Dates appreciation post! Thanks to datesaregreat I created these flavorful and perfectly chewy Tahini & Date cookies that take mere minutes to mix and under ten minutes to bake! 

I gotta say, dates are great in everything from breakfast to dinner and in-between. They this lovely, natural sweetness to various dishes and baked goods while also adding fiber, nutrients and antioxidants into your diet. They’re so incredibly versatile, which makes them so much fun to bake with! 

I hope you enjoy these cookies my friends! 

Salted Tahini & Date Cookies
Yield: 20 Cookies 

Ingredients: 
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup hazelnut flour/meal
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 cup tahini
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup California Dates, roughly chopped
1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate
Finishing Salt 

Instructions: 
Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the rolled oats, hazelnut flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add the tahini, maple syrup, honey, and vanilla. 
Mix to form a rather thick dough. 
Fold in the chopped dates and chopped dark chocolate. 
Scoop the dough into balls or roll by hand. If using clean hands, get them slightly wet so that the dough doesn't stick as easily! 
Arrange cookies on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, allowing two inches between each cookie. 
Bake for 10 minutes, watching for the edge to start to brown. 
Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool for 5-10 minutes before enjoying!
