I know I've talked a bit about the show in this photo at length, but the show of Circa's that cemented me as a lifelong fan of their music was the first time I saw them. It was their first headlining tour, support was The Receiving End of Sirens, at The Door (at the old location) in Dallas in 2006. I don't normally find myself at the stage apron, but for whatever reason, at this show, that's exactly where I was. The most vivid memories of that night, not including the river of sweat myself and every other kid pressed to the stage had produced, was just how in the moment everyone and everything was. I was truly just experiencing the music with friends, singing along, banging my head, not worrying about, well, what I'm doing right now and sharing my experience of that night. I didn't care about snapping a shit photo on my flip phone, or trying to take a selfie while stage diving/crowd surfing. I just wanted to hear good music, hear it loud, sing along, and have a good time. Back when your friends found out what shows you had gone to from the merch you wore to school, not from the 37 snapchat uploads that leave you watching the show through a screen. 
So yeah, that's my first experience with seeing Circa Survive, and one that I'm so grateful to look back on.
