One of my core memories as a teenager -- 20-some years ago -- is a pair of shoes. I'm not sure how or why, but one year I became all-consumed with owning a pair of boat shoes. #ad 

My dad had always worn a pair and I dreamed of the day I would have my own. I don't remember exactly how I ended up acquiring a pair of sperry boat shoes, but I knew I was in love. 

I wore them with everything. All the time. In all seasons. They were my signature. I still own them, after all these years. And I still have an affinity for them, not just the style, but for the brand. 

So I was so excited to be able to partner with Sperry to test out their new SeaCycled Collection. Made with recycled materials, the Captain's Mocs are made with 100% recycled canvas uppers. Sustainability is important to me, and I am trying to be intentional with what I bring into my closet. I want to invest in products that will last (like my 20+ year old pair of Sperry's) and that prioritize sustainability -- without compromising style.
