This might be the best dress yet. It's covered in iconic women -- 96 to be exact. From RBG to Rosa Parks to Malala Yousafzai to Jane Goodall to Ada Lovelace and beyond. Women who are well known, and women who are not. Women who have “gone against the grain, pioneered, spoken up, battled, created, persevered, and followed their hearts.” They all have a place. All represented.⁣

Because what you consume is what you become. What you see is what you believe. What you think is possible. ⁣And if you don't see people like you in what you consume, it leads to feeling like people like you are not important. That you don't have value. ⁣
⁣
And it's everywhere. Some groups obviously way more than others — and we need to fight for them every day — but also groups you may not even consider. Even for me. Every day people tell me I "don't look like a math teacher" or send me a message about how they decided to take a solo trip after they saw me do it. I look like them. I'm a woman in her 30's and so are they. And while that's a small thing — it's not to those people. It's not to the girls in my math class. And it's not to the people in your life. The people who see themselves in you. ⁣

We are all promoting our identities. We are all representations. You may think you fit the regular or generic mold — that you can’t help — but you can. You can promote others. Support others. But there's also someone out there that is waiting to see what you do. That looks up to you. That wants to see someone like them succeed. So succeed. Be iconic. #jessdaytuesday
