## Caption

Hi. I’m Emily. I travel to national parks by myself and take some photos of it. Sometimes they’re selfies. Sometimes I have time to set up a tripod for my iPhone and take a photo (probably looking away 🤷🏻‍♀️). ⁣
⁣
I’m in most of the photos I post. I think it looks more interesting to have a subject. But I also want to remember myself in a moment. Looking at this photo reminds me how happy I was this day. Reminds me of the details. ⁣
⁣
Ive noticed a lot of comments on this lately. To me and others I follow. “Why do you need so many pictures of yourself?” “Oh look another picture looking away.” And I don’t think I need to explain myself⁣
(I mean this is my page my name is in it — umm #idowhatiwant) but I’ve also tried to be more aware of my reach. Address things I believe in. ⁣
⁣
And I believe that the cool thing about the internet, and Instagram, and a lot of life really — is that you don’t have to follow, comment, be friends with, interact with, or anything else with people if you don’t want to. You don’t have to post selfies or photos of your travels if you don’t want to. But the same is true if you do — it’s your choice. Without knocking the other side. Let’s all assume we are intelligent adults. Who have our opinions for reasons that are important to us. Why we do or don’t do things. And no one has to like it or understand it. But remember there is no one way. You can do you and I’ll do me, no need to try to convince anyone to change. :)
