Kausar Mohammed is a half Pakistani, half Bengali actress from the Bay Area, California. She identifies as Queer, Muslim, and a Hufflepuff/Slytherin hybrid. Kausar’s strategic intention is to create more visibility for communities of color and historically marginalized folks. She does so by fostering community in her daily life, her TV/film, and live comedy projects, and facilitating discussions around race and gender through her company SHIFT. She is accredited by NBC, Huffington Post, and Al-Jazeera for her comedy and activism work.
In addition, she is a series lead in Paul Feig's (Freaks & Geeks) dramedy, East of La Brea.
Other recent credits include Carol’s Second Act (CBS), Silicon Valley (HBO), Black Lightning (CW), and the films What Men Want (Paramount) and Little (Universal) alongside Issa Rae.
Moreover, she is currently voicing lead characters on upcoming Netflix animated shows and video games.
Kausar is a house team performer at Upright Citizen's Brigade and a co-founder of the distinguished all South Asian sketch comedy team The Get Brown (thegetbrown).
Lastly, she is a co-founder of SHIFT Consulting, a racial justice and gender justice firm run by three women of color (shiftingtheculture) 

Fun fact: 

She was in a short comedy film with the thefawz called #IKNOWHER. It’s a short comedy film with two South Asian queer leads!!
