## Caption

I took my time posting this because I wanted to showcase as many illustrators as possible and because this is extremely important  I didn’t want to leave anything out in this caption. 
I understand my platform is mostly lighthearted and fun, but I would be doing a disservice by not speaking on important issues. I want to start with an introduction since everyone around the world follows this account and I would like to explain in detail why this matters: - #BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to Trayvon Martin’s murder. The movement is to eradicate white supremacy and stop the violence and crime against Black communities. The mission also highlights on Black excellence and wants to ensure Black communities are consistently improving and winning.

Each illustration I have posted shows an individual that was murdered by law enforcement (motives of hate/white supremacy) and no consequences/responsibility was given to those murders. Therefore we ask for JUSTICE. 
Overall, as a community we have to do more than just post on our stories or hashtag #southasiansforblacklives - we have to come together as a community and EDUCATE, DISCUSS, AND FIGHT FOR WHAT’S RIGHT. Have those tough conversations, have the courage to speak up, and have the determination to connect with as many people as possible. 
I want to take this time to honor all the lives that have been lost due to WHITE SUPREMACY and HATE, while also thanking the people from LAW ENFORCEMENT for speaking up on this act, no MURDER, that was committed. I thank them for having the courage in doing what’s right and explain that in no way this murder was a reflection of “protecting” our communities from crime. 
I have hope for our generation because we aren’t afraid to lead a movement, and speak on issues we’re passionate about. However we can’t hope for a better future, we have to act now.
