Why do I care so hard about representation in media, especially fitness industry??

All those times I beat myself up so hard for being too skinny, too dark and too meek were result of not seeing women like me (other south Asians) in media. I didn’t believe in myself- pic on the left.

Having said that, we can’t let social media or society hold us back. You can turn your life trajectory around and I am an example of that.
strongfitnessmag was one of my first publication. I soon after followed it by teaching a thrivehigherdaily class to over 100 participants for lululemon

Unless women like me are represented, other women from my culture won’t see the possibilities of what they can accomplish.
Representation matters a shit load and now more than ever we have to support the trial blazers who are pushing the boundaries.
