The Great Boulder Duck Race is just 2 days away! With race day just around the corner, the competition between the adoption teams is staying close. As of this morning, the Boulder Police department is in the lead with 159 ducks adopted and $1310 raised! Close behind in second is the Gone Quackers with 117 ducks adopted and $1155 raised. With 104 ducks adopted and $815 raised, the Boulder Fire-Rescue department is in third place. Adopting a duck through a team qualifies you for additional team prizes, including a food truck event at a Boulder park, 15 mini-golf passes to Gateway Park Fun Center gatewayfunpark, and a littlesecretsco chocolate basket. Adoptions through teams count towards the competition for team prizes through the end of the day TODAY, so quick quick, quack for a cause and adopt a duck for only $11! We hope you’ll join us this Sunday, August 29th for an afternoon of fun in the sun at Scott Carpenter Pool. Stop by from 1-3 p.m. for lawn games, water polo and synchronized swimming demonstrations 5280synchro rmn.wp, sweetcowicecream, prizes, and multiple heats of cute and competitive duck racing! The event is free and open to the public. The parking lot at Scott Carpenter is limited, so please consider biking, bussing, or choosing another alternative mode of transportation to the event. Quack quack! Please note that Scott Carpenter Pool will be open before and after the event but will not be open to the public for swimming during the event.
