Samantha Stevens ‘21: “Playing sports my entire life has impacted me in so many different ways. They brought me joy, taught me how to work with a team, and gave me a sense of confidence. But the most important lesson I learned, particularly through track and field, is the value of persistence. Despite the obstacles, injuries, or days when I simply did not want to do it anymore, I never regretted a practice. I never regretted an opportunity to make myself better and have learned to appreciate a challenge. It may not always be easy, but there is no better feeling than overcoming a setback!”
