Jacquie Haggarty from Burlingame, California is your winner of the Women's Masters Division in Beat the Heat!  The mother of three put together an incredible series of performances throughout the four rounds, seemingly improving with every round, where she opened up with a 11:53 (2 mile), 5:24 (1 mile), 18:39 (5k) and finishing it off with a 6:51 (2000 meters) performance with many on the track cheering her on.

The Women's Masters Division going into the final round appeared to be a two competitor race.  Leading through the first three rounds was Kathleen Servidea from New Canaan, CT who put together an impressive tournament in her own right with a 11:29 (2 mile), 5:23 (1 mile) and 18:33 (5k). Monica Diez from Boston, MA and Catherine Kruppa from Houston, TX were expected to also make a push for the win having gone 5:29/11:50 and 5:31/11:41 respectively in Rounds 1 and 2.

On what appeared to be a sunny California day, Jacquie took the track for her 2K with the support of several other runners cheering her on. She hit the 400 meter mark in 80 seconds, before going 2:45 (800 meters), 4:07 (1200 meters), 5:30 (1600 meters) and eventually 5:51 for the fastest time in her division bringing home the $250 cash prize.  Monica Diez with the surprise of the round grabbed second in 5:55 and the $75 2nd place prize.
