Mark Pinales markpinales ended his tournament run in style hitting the 1600 in 4:13 before bringing it home for a solid 5:16 2000 meter time to win the race and the $400 cash prize!

The Austin, Texas native joined the Beat the Heat as one of the favorites. After taking the lead in the opening round 2 mile with a 9:16 2 mile, he never looked back going 4:13 for the mile, 14:43 for 5k, and closing with the 5:16 2k. He joins jrandz9 as the only competitors in tournament to lead every single round!

Despite being in one of the hottest parts of the country, Mark was able to complete his races early enough to get the job done!  Congratulations to his coach jdcunningham97, his pacing buddies jason_t_taylor and mitchammons and his running partners uarunning and rawrunning
