Meet Kevin Serrao kevinserrao from Cambridge, Massachusets.  The recent Middlebury College middle distance star ran a 9:52 (2 Miles) in Round 1 and a 4:26 (1 Mile) in Round 2 which automatically qualified him for Round 3.

When asked about his upcoming 5K in Round 3: "I've run 1:50 and 4:09 but don't think I've formally broken 16 minutes and haven't truly focused on the event since high school.  Since there are a bunch of guys with some legit distance chops going into the 5k, I'm hoping to sneak into the final.”

On his chances of contending for the title: "I think I can do some damage in the 2k.  I had planned a trip to Montana before Beat the Heat existed, so I was banking on my experience in the middle distances to get me through the last round in the middle of a week with hiking and camping in Glacier." Kevin added that current race favorite Mark Pinales markpinales “will be hard to beat."
