First up, meet Tracy Dutra tsizzleruns from Melbourne, Florida.  Tracy has advanced to Round 3 of Beat the Heat in the Women’s Masters division after running a 2 mile in 13:17 and following that up with a 1 mile in 6:11 (her first mile race as a master!)

5k: 18:55 (19:28 Masters)
15k: 1:00:37 (1:01:20 Masters)
1/2 Marathon 1:28:18 (1:29:29 Masters)
Marathon 3:11:53 (3:32:10 Masters)

Asked about Round 3, “I’m super excited to see how a 5k on the track feels.  I have always excelled more at distance running, but I started doing workouts on the track consistently during my Chicago 2019 buildup and I loved it.” Tracy added that “it’s been fun to challenge myself with racing on the rubber!  Although I do wish I had a few people to run these with, it’s also cool to run it blindly and see how I stack up.  The masters women have brought the Heat for sure!”
