1. Though driven apart by the global COVID-19 pandemic, members of #Elon20 came together online on May 22 with their friends, families and Elon faculty and staff to celebrate their accomplishments and receive their degrees. Some of the graduates who were still on campus posed for photos by the iconic Fonville Fountain.
 
2. At the close of the 2019-20 academic year, 14 senior international students gathered in a South Campus field for a tree-planting ceremony, a tradition that began in 2017.
 
3. The class of 2020 Master of Education graduates received their degrees in Whitley Auditorium. The NCATE-accredited Master of Education program gives experienced teachers the opportunity to broaden their professional knowledge and skills.
 
4. A sign installer mounts the letters on the newly named Janice Ratliff Building. Ratliff, a native of Elon, served the university for more than three decades as a dedicated staff member and consistent mentor to students.
 
5. In October, elonperformingarts presented elonthemoment, Elon’s first all-Black cabaret. The production featured 13 pieces that included singing, dancing, scenes and monologues, centering on Blackness in a traditionally white realm. Kamal Lado, a senior BFA music theatre major and the show’s artistic director, called the production “A love letter to Blackness from Black folks.”
