#OnThisDay in 1968, amidst a tense atmosphere marked by snipers positioned atop buildings, Coretta Scott King, along with her children and other prominent activists, led a procession of an estimated 20,000 individuals from various parts of the nation in a silent memorial march through downtown Memphis. 

This event served as a tribute to the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., emphasizing his enduring legacy and the principles for which he stood.
