I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the kind of mom I want to be, and the kind of example I want to set for our baby girl. I want our daughter to be confident, curious, and brave. I want her to be kind and compassionate, strong-willed and open-minded. On this week’s episode of the Ali on the Run Show, katieburke16 talks about being “courageously ambitious.” As soon as she said those words, I wrote them down on a hot pink Post-It, which I hung next to my desk. When we move into our new home next week — the one where we’ll become a family of four — I’ll put a matching Post-It in the baby’s room. Because being courageously ambitious is something I want for both of us.
